David has been a prominent presence in the Canadian investment industry for several decades. He launched Synergy Asset Management in 1997 and worked as its lead Canadian momentum portfolio manager, until CI Financial acquired Synergy Asset Management Inc. in 2003. Prior to that, David spent eight years as the Head of Quantitative Research at RBC Dominion Securities, where he was one of the top-ranked analysts in his sector.

David holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia.

Jeff joined Picton Mahoney Asset Management in 2017, bringing considerable portfolio management experience to the firm. Previously, Jeff served as vice president and senior portfolio manager at BMO Global Asset Management, where he had oversight of the Canadian large cap equity portfolios. He also spent more than a decade at Manulife Asset Management, where he began his career as an analyst. During that time, he progressed through a number of roles, eventually becoming the managing director, with responsibility for Canadian equity portfolios managed with a blend of fundamental and quantitative analysis.

Jeff has an Honours Bachelor of Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University and is a CFA charterholder.

Michael helped establish Picton Mahoney in 2004. Prior to that, he worked at Synergy Asset Management with other founding members of the firm. Previously, he served as an investment analyst at UBS Global Asset Management. Michael began his investment industry career in 1998 as an analyst and associate at N M Rothschild & Sons, a boutique investment bank specializing in mergers and acquisitions.

Michael has a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and is a CFA charterholder.

Michael began his investment management career in 1997 at Scotia Capital Inc., where he was a manager of market risk.

Michael holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, and an MBA from the University of Toronto. He is also a CFA charterholder.
